BENTON, Mo. -- Paul Stuckey, son of the late Clarence Samuel and Viola Riggs Stuckey, was born July 26, 1943, in Cape Girardeau and departed his life Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023, at his home in Benton at the age of 80, surrounded by family.
On Nov. 6, 1999, he was united in marriage to Terri Ann Moore in New Hamburg. She survives at the home in Benton.
He was a farmer, a former Shelter Insurance agent and later owned Paul Stuckey Insurance LLC.
Paul was an avid golfer and a very proud Kelly High School alumnus and enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports.
"Stuckey" never met a stranger, was a dedicated family man and was full of life. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg, Missouri. He was also a former member of Benton Jaycees, Benton Chamber of Commerce and Oran (Missouri) Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by three daughters, Julie Stuckey of Cape Girardeau and Jill (Mark) Klipfel and Kendyl Stuckey, both of Benton; brother, John Stuckey of Holts Summit, Missouri; two grandchildren, Drew Klipfel and Paige Klipfel of Benton; and 45 nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers, Stuart, Sam, Jim, Frank, Charlie, Harold and Joe Stuckey; and three sisters, Mildred Schiwitz, Juanita South and Shay Pack.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, at St. Lawrence Parish Center in New Hamburg. Parish prayers will be at 5:30 p.m.
The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with the Rev. Daniel Belken officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
