TAMMS, Ill. -- Paul Harold Stiff, 84, of Tamms passed away Monday, May 16, 2011, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 10, 1926, in Miller City, Ill., son of the late Edward Stiff and Pearl Davis Stiff.
Stiff was a retired construction laborer and a 63-year member of Laborers Union Local 773 of Marion, Ill. He was of the Pentecost belief.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Franklin Stiff of Tamms; four sons, Charles L. Stiff, Paul Douglas Stiff, Bill Stiff, all of Tamms, Kenny Stiff of Olive Branch, Ill.; a daughter, Glenda Dowdy of Tamms; two sisters, Mary Houston of Cairo, Ill., and Stella Pitcher of Panama City, Fla.; a brother, Charles L. Stiff of Cairo; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time today at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Revs. Bob Smithey and Gene Hart officiating.
Interment will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
