Graveside service for Paul B. Schultz of Blairsville, Ga., was held Aug. 11, 1999, at Cape County Memorial Park. Dr. Paul Currie officiated. H.S. Smith Funeral Home in Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.

Schultz, 92, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999, at Chatuge Regional Hospital in Hiawassee, Ga.

He was born Feb. 4, 1907, in Cape Girardeau, son of Bruno Carl and Laura Alice Stewart Schultz.

Schultz served in the U.S. Army from October 1942-March 1946. He attained the rank of captain, and received three Bronze Stars.

He was later a colonel with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Survivors include his wife of Laurens, S.C.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.
