PLANO, Texas -- Paul Reynolds, 91, a native of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at his home.
He was born Aug. 18, 1927, son of Henry John and Mary Catherine Donnelly Reynolds. He was a graduate of Cape Central High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1945 to 1946. In 1950, he married Frances Carroll, with whom he spent the next 68 years.
Reynolds was a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service for 40 years, a member of Old St. Vincent's parish and the Knights of Columbus Council 1111 in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Jack Reynolds of Fort Worth, Texas, Mary Reynolds McCoy of Houston and Jane Hetherington of Plano, Texas; brother, John Reynolds of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and one sister.
A funeral mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Catholic Charities.
