DORENA, Mo. -- T. Paul Menzies, 75, of Dorena died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born Feb. 7, 1925, in Henry, Tenn., son of Luceain and Anna Sibby Manns Menzies. He and Augustine Lawrence were married Feb. 28, 1946. She died Nov. 8, 1995.
Menzies owned and operated Menzies Grocery. He lived in Missouri more than 63 years.
Survivors include a son, Willie Menzies of Arizona; five sisters, Gearldine Copeland of Henry, Lizzie Carruth, Nadine Baker, Flora Burnett and Esther Laster, all of Saginaw, Mich.; six brothers, Henry Copeland of Henry, Luceain, Ernest, Roosevelt and Robert Menzies, all of Saginaw, Bobby Menzies of St. Louis; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Opportunity Church of God In Christ, with Steve Betts officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
