CHAFFEE -- Paul L. Pfefferkorn, 81, of Chaffee died Saturday, Nov. 23, 1996, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
He was born June 12, 1915, at Chaffee, son of William Joseph and Helen Mary Enderle Pfefferkorn.
He retired in 1982 as president of the Chaffee Lumber Co.
He married Marjorie Ann Davidson Sept. 7, 1934. She died March 3, 1983.
He was an Army veteran during World War II. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church at Chaffee and the St. Ambrose Men's Club. He was a past-commander of the Chaffee American Legion Post, past-president of the Chaffee Chamber of Commerce and past-president of the Chaffee Civic & Industrial Development Committee.
He is survived by two sons, Bill Pfefferkorn of Chaffee and Dr. David Pfefferkorn of Sikeston; a daughter, Pat Vessell of Rolla; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A son, four brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Service will be held Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee today after 4 p.m., with parish prayers at 7.
