Paul J. Koehler, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, at his home.
He was born June 3, 1913, in Jackson, son of Henry C. and Mary B. Baugh Koehler. He and Catherine T. Horrell were married Jan. 4, 1936, at Jackson. She died July 7, 1997.
Koehler had worked at Marquette Cement Co. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, West Side Senior Citizens, Knights of Columbus, and United Paperwashers International Local 50164.
Survivors include four sons, Donald, Paul and Mark Koehler of Cape Girardeau, Michael Koehler of Paris, Ark.; a daughter, Catherine Pope of Downingtown, Pa.; three sisters, Opal Scherer of Cape Girardeau, Hester Vinyard and Lorene Horrell of Jackson; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, four brothers, and two sisters.
Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel after 4:30 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
