SIKESTON -- Funeral Mass for Paul Edward Hill of Sikeston will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. Robert Schumacher will officiate, with burial in Forest Hills Cemetery near Morley.
Hill, 65, died Thursday, March 13, 1997, at Deaconess Medical Center in St. Louis.
He was born July 13, 1931, in St. Louis, son of Sherman and Hazel Hatfield Hill. He and Betty Sides were married July 28, 1951.
Hill had farmed, and was a salesman with Nailing Truck and Tractor. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal, and United Nations Service Medal.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Paul and David Hill of Sikeston, Steven Hill of Springdale, Ark.; four daughters, Debbie Schuchart of Bloomfield, Camilla Hill of Sikeston, Tere Trucks of Festus, Dana Alexander of Hillsboro; a brother, Joe Hill of Vanduser; two sisters, Geraldine Keifer of St. Charles, Frances Carlisle of Fulton, Mich.; and 16 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and sister.
