Paul Brent Henderson, 59, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Olive Branch, Illinois, died at 9:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at his home. He was born in Cairo, Illinois, on Feb. 17, 1955, to Vernon Henderson Sr. and Helen Juanita Garrett Henderson. Paul Brent Henderson, 59, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Olive Branch, Illinois, died at 9:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at his home.

He was born in Cairo, Illinois, on Feb. 17, 1955, to Vernon Henderson Sr. and Helen Juanita Garrett Henderson.

He worked construction for the Laborers Union Local No. 773 for more than 30 years until retiring in 2005. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Michael Henderson (Jeniffer) of Killeen, Texas; four grandchildren, Meagan, Matthew, Angel and Madison; his brothers, Larry Henderson (Judy Zeschke) and Gary Henderson (Angie), both of Olive Branch; two sisters, Rosie Lawrence (Melvin) of Jackson and Brenda Calvert (George) of Murphysboro, Illinois; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Michael Dean Henderson and Vernon "Butch" Henderson Jr.; a daughter, Angie Marie Henderson; and a grandson, Jonathon Paul Henderson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes, Illinois.
