Paul Griffin

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Paul Melvin Griffin, 77, of Chaffee passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, at St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Sept. 24, 1941, in Chaffee to the late Charles Vincent and Igenia Theresa Strack Griffin. He married Charlene Foster on Nov. 14, 1980, and she preceded him in death April 3, 2013.

He was a retired factory worker for Wohl Shoe Warehouse in Sikeston, Missouri. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee.

He is survived by a daughter, Sheila Watson of Middleburg, Florida; two sisters, Pauline Asmus of Chaffee and Helen Knudson of Benton, Arkansas; and two grandsons, Darrin Moore of Springfield, Missouri, and Dustin Foster of Rochester, Minnesota.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.

Friends may call after 9 a.m., with parish rosary at noon, Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Ambrose Cemetery in Chaffee.
