JACKSON -- Paul G. Borchelt, 87, formerly of Gordonville, died Saturday, April 6, 1996, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 21, 1908, at Egypt Mills to August and Agnes Scholl Borchelt.
He married Marguerite Siemers on May 17, 1930. She died Jan. 21, 1982.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Neal of Gordonville; two brothers, Ben Borchelt of Cape Girardeau and Archie Borchelt of Locus Grove, Va.; two sisters, Lucille Keller and Meta Krieger, both of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and two sisters.
Borchelt was a farmer near Gordonville for many years.
He was a former member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville and was a current member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
He also was a member of the Dairymen's Association, the Cape County Pork Producers Association and the Men's Club at Trinity Lutheran Church. He also was on the building committee of Christ Lutheran Church that built the current church.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson Monday from 4-8 p.m.
Funeral service will be at the funeral chapel Tuesday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Steven MacDougall officiating.
Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Gordonville.
