Paul O. Ford, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at The Lutheran Home.

He was born Sept. 30, 1919, in Bell City, Mo., to Amzie and Marget Stewart Ford.

He and Mildred Ramsey Ford were married April 13, 1942, at Jackson. She passed away Aug. 3, 2007.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army. He served in Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge and received two Purple Hearts.

Paul worked for Central Foods as dock foreman for 25 years.

He was a member of First General Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters Carolyn (Quentin) Stroder of Cape Girardeau and Loretta (Larry) Jansen of Jackson; grandchildren Tracie Stroder (Jimmy) Smith of Jackson and Ben Jansen of Bollinger County, Mo.; great-grandchildren Madalyn and Hunter Smith of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dean Jaggers officiating.

Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery, with full military honors by the Missouri Honors Team.

Memorial contributions may be given to First General Baptist Church Building Fund 1812 Cape La Croix Road, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
