Paul Gordon Fisher III, 55, of Jackson died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009.
He was born Oct. 22, 1954, in Scott County. Paul has been married to Peggy (Tetrick) Fisher more than 30 years. They met while attending Drury College in Springfield, Mo. Paul later attended St. Louis University and graduated with a degree in business administration and aviation maintenance management.
Paul was involved with numerous business activities in Southeast Missouri including farming operations, an irrigation business, land development and aircraft maintenance. He also served his country as a special agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Paul and Peggy are soul mates forever and have many loving memories. They are blessed with their "children," the yellow Labrador Retrievers Dandy, Meagan, Gordie, Gracie, and two cats, Elsie and Charlie.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Alice Fisher, and a sister, Marsha Ann Hoge.
Surviving family members include a loving sister, Alice Caroline Fisher of Columbia, Mo., and Ellen F. Baker and Mark M. Fisher. He has three aunts, two uncles, several cousins, a brother-in-law, Robert Hoge; and niece, Anna Margaret Hoge. A sister-in-law, Martha Kopper, and nephew, Paul James Kopper, will forever remember his love and support. Paul will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to service time Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dean Jaggers officiating. Entombment will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, in care of Dr. Ron Cott, W205A Veterinary Medicine, Columbia, MO 65211.
