Paul Eichhorn

Paul A. Eichhorn, 87, of New Wells, Mo., died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home in Jackson.

He was born June 8, 1920, in St. Louis County, son of Toney and Amelia Stanglein Eichhorn. He and Olivia Kraus were married May 4, 1952, in St. Louis.

Eichhorn moved to Pevely, Mo., in 1941, where he owned and operated a dairy farm. He moved to New Wells in 1997. He was a former member of St. Lukes United Church of Christ at Imperial, Mo., and was a current member of St. John's United Church of Christ near Fruitland.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Paul D. and John C. Eichhorn of New Wells; a sister, Esther Brouk of Shawneetown; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's UCC.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. David E. Schaffner officiating. Interment will follow in St. John's UCC Cemetery near Fruitland.
