PERRYVILLE -- Paul Edgar Brooks Sr., 71, of Perryville died Tuesday, March 19, 1996, at his home.

He was born March 9, 1925, at Olive Branch, Ill., son of John and Mary Matlock Brooks. He and Doris Louise Meggison were married May 9, 1947.

Brooks was employed as a metal polisher at St. Louis Plating.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dennis Brooks of Perryville; a daughter, Constance Gibbar of Perryville; a brother John H. Brooks of Arnold; four grandchildren; a stepgrandson; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m. until the service Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the family cemetery.
