Funeral service for Paul E. Meyer, 72, of 1902 Herman will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Art Kelley, chaplain at St. Francis Medical Center, officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel.
He died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 1, 1920, son of Adolph and Cora Meystedt Meyer.
He spent 60 years in the movie theater business in Cape Girardeau. He began his career in 1930 at the age of 12, selling popcorn at the Orpheum Theater. He later became manager of the theater.
He then managed the Broadway Theater, followed by the Rialto. He subsequently managed the Town Plaza Cinema.
Surviving are one brother, Bob Meyer of Largo, Fla.; and one sister, Virginia Dubs of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
