ANNA, Ill. -- Paul D. Dixon, 66, of Anna died Friday, Oct. 4, 1996, at his home. He was born Sept. 25, 1930, at Cobden, son of Luther James and Susan Jane Doughty Dixon. He and Patricia O'Keefe were married Jan. 28, 1955, at Lowell, Mass. He was a retired postal worker...

ANNA, Ill. -- Paul D. Dixon, 66, of Anna died Friday, Oct. 4, 1996, at his home.

He was born Sept. 25, 1930, at Cobden, son of Luther James and Susan Jane Doughty Dixon.

He and Patricia O'Keefe were married Jan. 28, 1955, at Lowell, Mass.

He was a retired postal worker.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Knights of Columbus and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Paul C. Dixon of Tyngsboro, Mass.; a daughter, Susan Vaccaro of Anna; two sisters, Jane Musgrove of Anna and Hilda Gibson of Herrin; and two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at Hileman & Parr Funeral Services in Jonesboro. Rosary service will be recited at 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

The Rev. Tom Miller and Sister Joan Backes will officiate, with burial in the Cobden Cemetery.

Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by the Anna VFW post.
