Paul R. "Bobby" Criddle, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at Ratliff Care Center. He was born Oct. 27, 1933, in Cape Girardeau, son of James and Mabel Irene Kester Criddle. Mr. Criddle formerly worked at Florsheim Shoe Co., before working at the Southeast Missourian newspaper. He then worked at Blair Industries, retiring in 1996 after many years of employment...

Paul R. "Bobby" Criddle, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at Ratliff Care Center.

He was born Oct. 27, 1933, in Cape Girardeau, son of James and Mabel Irene Kester Criddle.

Mr. Criddle formerly worked at Florsheim Shoe Co., before working at the Southeast Missourian newspaper. He then worked at Blair Industries, retiring in 1996 after many years of employment.

Survivors include two sons, Harvey Criddle of McClure, Ill., Robert Criddle of Mobile, Ala.; a daughter, Debbie Wicks of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, James and Frank Criddle of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Barbara Yallaly of Cape Girardeau, Ethel Mize of Shawneetown, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.

Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with Brett Randall officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
