ADVANCE, Mo. -- Paul A. Corbin, 101, of Advance passed away April 26, 2016, at Advance Assisted Living.
He was born Nov. 27, 1914, at Greenbrier, Missouri, the son of Clyde and Effie Pearl Watkins Corbin. Paul and Genevea Synder were united in marriage Aug. 20, 1936, at Brownwood, Missouri, and she passed away April 21, 1999.
Paul owned and operated Corbin's Ben Franklin in Advance for 30 years. He believed in the General Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Kalinski and Carol (Kenneth) McFerron, both of Advance; four sisters, Gavada Woodfin and Wiladean Loyd, both of Advance, Betty Cato of Cape Girardeau and Joann Cole of Kearney, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kenny McFerron, Paul McFerron, Jeana Berron and Tom Kalinski; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers; and a son-in-law, Frank Kalinski.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jimmy Corbin officiating. Burial will be at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
