Patsy Sue Voshage, 83, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau after a short illness.

She was born March 17, 1940, in Jackson to Emil and Stella Sachse Peetz. Patsy married Jerry Lee Voshage on Nov. 22, 1968.

Patsy attended Jackson High School and graduated in 1958.

She lived in the Tilsit area all of her life and helped Jerry farm their two Century Farms. In addition to farming, Patsy worked various jobs throughout her career and retired from Cape Girardeau County Abstract & Title Co.

She and Jerry loved to travel and visited almost all 50 states and went on many cruises and visited several foreign countries. They enjoyed going to state fairs and machinery shows. They enjoyed dancing and socializing with their many friends.

Patsy was a lifelong member of Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson, where she was very involved in church groups and served on the church council.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, husband, one daughter and one grandson.

She is survived by four sons, Douglas R. (Jennifer) of Eureka, Missouri, and Ronnie (Carol), Joe (Ruby) and David (Karen), all of Jackson; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorial contributions may be given to Emanuel United Church of Christ.
