PATSY VONNIDA

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Patsy M. VonNida, 69, of Granite City, Ill., died Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at Sikeston Health Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born Dec. 22, 1931, daughter of Ernest and Nellie Wiggs Stokes. She first married Bill Alexander, and later married Edwin VonNida. Both preceded her in death.

VonNida was a member of Suburban Baptist Church in Granite City, and was formerly of Mounds.

Survivors include two daughters, Jodi Bennett of Granite City, Linda Stokes of Charleston, Mo.; a sister, Shirley Lentz of Dongola, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, Ill., after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joey Dunning officiating. Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery in Anna, Ill.
