Patsy Jean Webb Schlick, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Friday July 5, 2019.
She was born Jan. 10, 1935, in Galveston Texas; she was loved and raised by Mrs. Josephine Webb.
She was united in holy matrimony to Eugene T. Schlick on Dec. 7, 1952. This union blessed Patsy and Eugene with seven children. Patsy was a loving and dedicated mother to Eugene, Stephen, Michael, Susan, Barbara, Mary Jo and Nancy. Patsy was selfless, placing her children and family above all else; she will be an angel on everyone’s shoulder.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Pasty leaves behind her beloved children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sons, Eugene (Debbie) Schlick, Stephen (Linda) Schlick and Michael Schlick; daughters, Susan (David) Wallis and Nancy (Brian) Gibson. Grandchildren, John Derek, Lance (Micah), Sara, Andrew, Bobby Jo (Taylor), Ryan, Michael Jr. (Eva), Christopher (Emily), Jennifer (Jason), Kristina (Dan) and David Jr. (Katie); and great-grandchildren, Alene, Andrew, Alex, Caleb, Camden, Cole, Ethan, Gracyn, Jacob, Joseph, Kaila, Levi, Linley, McKenna, Peyton, Samuel, Stella and Tyler.
Also surviving is a loving sister-in-law, Mary Rose (Thomas) Piening; and the late Dorothy Ann (James) Ruwe; loving aunt to Pat (Mike) Farwick, Kathy (Mike) Pedone, Tom (Ann) Piening, Steve (Sandy) Piening, Tim (Diane) Piening, Kim (Greg) Steinmetz, Linda (Mike) Rosser, Peggy (Joe) Evans and Diane (Michael) Mock; and numerous great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; two daughters, Barbara and Mary Jo Schlick; and a sister, June Hess.
She will be remembered for her giving spirit, dedication to her work and love of family. She will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Service will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Marian Charities to the Mary Jo Schlick Fund.
