Patsy Fitzgerald

Patsy Joe Fitzgerald, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare Facility.

She was born Aug. 9, 1930, at Parma, Mo., daughter of Charlie and Cora Lee Sanders Trout. She married Reginal "Pete" Fitzgerald May 3, 1967, at Morehouse, Mo. He died May 30, 1995.

Fitzgerald had lived in Dexter, Mo., many years before moving to Cape Girardeau. She was a member of the Pentecost Church.

Survivors include a sister, Hazel Abernathy of Marble Hill, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and three sisters.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Essex Cemetery in Essex, Mo. The Rev. Doyle Corlew will officiate.
