Patrick Umbeck

Patrick S. Umbeck, 26, of Oak Ridge died Friday July 15, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 17, 1984, in Cape Girardeau, to John H. and Shirley A. Cotner Umbeck.

Patrick graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 2003. He graduated from Mineral Area College in 2006 and received his bachelor of science degree in Youth Ministries from Hannibal-LaGrange University in Hannibal, Mo., in 2011.

Patrick is survived by his parents, John and Shirley Umbeck of Oak Ridge; five brothers, Mark Anthony Umbeck of Viburnum, Mo., John Herman Umbeck Jr. and William Joseph (Amy) Umbeck, both of Cape Girardeau, David Anthony Umbeck and Sean Andrew (Jessica Ruch) Umbeck, both of Jackson; two nephews, Noah and Clayton; and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Millersville.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Daniel Hale officiating. Burial will be in New Salem Methodist Cemetery at Daisy.

Memorials may be made to Patrick Umbeck Scholarship Fund.
