Patrick McCoy

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Patrick A. McCoy, 65, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at Jonesboro Healthcare Center.

He was born Jan. 27, 1939, at Caruthersville, Mo., son of Curtis Raymond and Olva Lena Johnson McCoy. He and Eleanor E. Wood were married Oct. 31, 1968. She died July 22, 1994.

McCoy was a sheet metal worker. He was a member of Sheet Metal Local 36 in St. Louis and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna, Ill.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors include a son, Tom Forrest of Angleton, Texas; a daughter, Jody Boner of Anna; his mother of Delta, four brothers, Joe and Fred McCoy of Delta, Gerald McCoy of Caruthersville, Mo., Curtis McCoy of California; six sisters, Glenda Klasner of Murphysboro, Ill., Shirley Bailey and Emma Gan of Arnold, Mo., Patricia Jones of St. Louis, Cathy Stofferean and Debbie Johnson of Delta; a friend, Letha Arnold of Jonesboro; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Anna Cemetery, with Monsignor Dennis Schaefer officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna.
