Patrick Conrad

BENTON, Mo. -- Funeral for Patrick Kendall "Pat" Conrad of Benton will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Unity Baptist Church. The Rev. Dennis Lowe will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, and after 9 a.m. Monday at the church.

Conrad, 62, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 13, 1939, at Sedgewickville, Mo., son of Lauren "Vernon" and Naomi Alpha Conrad. He and Nyla "Jeannie" Knutson were married March 30, 1996, in Jackson, Mo.

Conrad was an assembly lineman at Lee-Rowan Co. He also sang and was a drummer in country and western bands. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church. He moved to Benton six years ago from Jackson, Mo.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles Conrad of Fruitland, Mo., Brian Conrad of Benton; a daughter, Christine Maltos of Florissant, Mo.; a stepson, Wayne McClain of Cincinnati, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Kathy Seabaugh of Salem, Mo.; five brothers, Jack Conrad of Patton, Mo., Sam, Jerry and Mark Conrad of Cape Girardeau, Paul Conrad of Scott City, Mo.; a sister, June Borgfield of Cape Girardeau; a grandson; and a stepgrandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.
