MOUNDS, Ill. -- Patrick Connell, 49, of Kampsville, Ill., died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Jan. 17, 1955, in Carbondale, Ill., son of William Vernon and Bessie Coleman Connell. He was formerly of Mounds.
Connell was a painter for Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, Ill. He was a member of Gospel Mission Church in Kampsville.
Survivors include his wife, Melody; three sons, William Connell of Alton, Ill., Christopher Connell of Jerseyville, Ill., Sean Connell of Kampsville; three brothers, Rod Connell of Hardin, Ill., Michael Connell of Belleville, Ill., Stephen Connell of Bethalto, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Rod Connell officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Cemetery at Mounds.
