Patricia "Patty" Ann Mueller, 79, departed this world for heavenly glory on Jan. 8, 2012, after suffering a massive stroke and its ensuing complications.
Pat and Milton Mueller were married Nov. 25, 1951, near St. Louis at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Olivette, Mo., where they were active in many facets of church and community activities.
They owned and worked a vegetable farm and greenhouse operation in Creve Coeur, Mo., for 20 years when they relocated the farm operation to Bertrand, Mo. While living and working the farm and greenhouses in Bertrand, they were active members at Concordia Lutheran Church in Sikeston, Mo., until their retirement.
Their next home was Saxony Village retirement complex in Cape Girardeau, and they moved their church membership to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. In each of their homes and home congregations they made many friends and gave many hours of volunteer service. Pat was very active in assorted groups and clubs. She was a 4-H Club leader, Mississippi County Extension Club leader, a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Church Ladies Aids and other projects. Her wish and encouragement for family and friends has always been "love the Lord and love one another as he loved us."
Pat is survived by her husband; six children, Michael Erich (Jean) Mueller, Aleta Ann (Paul) Barker, Jeanne Marie Chambers, James Paul (Cynthia) Mueller, Diane Louise Wicker, Pamela Joy (John) Boyd; 16 grandchildren, Erich, Dylan, Otto, Mandy, Bethany, Anna, Samuel, Joseph, Catherine, Jake, Jessica, Cody, Austin, Tammy, Tom and Josh; and 17 great-grandchildren, Dorian, Rome, Reyna, Travis, Jordan, Ethan, Evie, Reese, Reagan, Oliver, Omolemo, Isaiah, Joshua, Brianna, Sam, Jocelyn and Savonnah.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Another visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday followed by the 11 a.m. service at Good Shepherd Lutheran. Interment will be at Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston at 2:30 p.m. the same day.
