Patricia Laws, 69, daughter of the late Paul C. and Billie Jean Bendel Durbin, was born Aug. 16, 1951, in Cape Girardeau and departed this life Wednesday, April 7, 2021, surrounded by her family at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
On July 25, 1969, she was united in marriage to Eddie Earl Laws Sr., in Portageville, Missouri. He preceded her in death July 7, 2004.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. "MawMaw" was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include two sons, Eddie (Misti) Laws Jr. of Jackson and Adam (Angie) Laws of Chaffee, Missouri; two daughters, Lee Ann (Dennis) Blankenship and Holly Spinks, both of Scott City; two brothers, Michael and John Durbin, both of Portageville, Missouri; two sisters, Becky Call of Portageville and Linda Gaines of Danville, Kentucky; 16 grandchildren, Morgan Blankenship, Logan Blankenship, Kristan Blankenship, Addison Blankenship, Ethan Blankenship, Taylor Laws, Baylee Sherwood, Braxton Laws, Trinity Laws, Daylon Spinks, Owen Spinks, Kinzlee Spinks, Alexis Laws, Landon Laws, Kaylee Laws and Zachary Laws; and three great-grandchildren, Melayna Spinks, Liam Spinks and Honey May Sherwood.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City with the Rev. Michael Casteel officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
