Patricia "Pat" Johnson, 82, of Jackson died peacefully Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 16, 1939, in Jonesboro, Illinois, to Elijah Arthur and Lorena Hutchison Gibbs. She and David L. Johnson were married July 18, 1958, at Anna, Illinois.
Pat was a graduate of Shawnee High School in Wolf Lake, Illinois.
She was the office manager for the family businesses. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson.
Survivors include her husband, David L. Johnson of Jackson; daughter, Julie (Scott) Cribbs of Gardners, Pennsylvania; brother, Norman (Kathryn) Gibbs of Cobden, Illinois; sisters, Sue (Steve) Eudy of Anna, Linda (Gary) Koch of Cape Girardeau, Lois Crites of Jackson and Venita (Robert) Lingle of Anna; and grandchild, Haleigh Cribbs of Gardners.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Dean Johnson; sister and brother-in-law, Dolores and John Yates; brother and sister-in-law, David and Melinda Gibbs; and brother-in-law, Jim Crites.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Jackson.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Revs. Troy Richards and Randy Riley officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Southside Baptist Church of Fulton, Missouri, for the Michael Dean Johnson Memorial Sports Complex or First Baptist Church of Jackson.
