Patricia L. "Pat" Fritsche, 55, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, at her home. She was born April 15, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ellis and Olga Lohmann Kuntze. Pat was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson, and a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, Mo., and Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, Mo. She worked many years at Frontier Kitchen in Fruitland, retiring in May 2004 due to health complications...

Patricia L. "Pat" Fritsche, 55, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, at her home.

She was born April 15, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ellis and Olga Lohmann Kuntze.

Pat was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson, and a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, Mo., and Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, Mo. She worked many years at Frontier Kitchen in Fruitland, retiring in May 2004 due to health complications.

Pat was especially proud of her family. She received great joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and always maintained a special interest in their activities.

Loving survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Neal Dost of Shawneetown, Amy and Mark Vanlandingham of Jackson; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Leslie Fritsche of Jackson; her parents of Altenburg; three sisters, Helen Kuntze of Altenburg, Beverly Parsons and husband Mark of St. Louis Park, Minn., Ruth Miesner and husband Russ of Altenburg; a brother, Richard Kuntze and wife Tina of Altenburg.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Aaron and Austin Dost, Amy Rose Vanlandingham, Alexis Ruch, Melissa Weber, Stephanie Weber, Devin Austin; two great-grandchildren, Dalton Austin and Samantha Medlin; two nieces and three nephews.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and Saturday after 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Revs. David Johnson and Robert Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Shawneetown.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church in Shawneetown or the American Stroke Association.
