Patricia V. Farrar, 81, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, at her daughter's home.

She was born Nov. 18, 1938, in Cape Girardeau to the late George and Theresa Kimmich Helton.

Pat worked in sales at Sears for 40 years. After retirement, she went to work for Physician's Associates at Saint Francis Medical Center. She also volunteered many hours at Saint Francis.

She was a lifelong member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.

Pat was an avid Cardinals baseball fan and enjoyed spending all her free time outdoors. She was a loving mother, sister and grandma Pat (she preferred "GP," as she thought "grandma" sounded too old).

Loving survivors include a daughter, Susan (Kevin) Stanfield of Cape Girardeau; sister, Sherri (Jim) Williamson of Jackson; brother, Gene (Kathy) Helton of Eureka, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jason Farrar of Jackson, Ashley Farrar of Jackson, Cortney (Matt) Strickland of Gordonville, Zach Stanfield of Cape Girardeau, Brittany Farrar of Los Angeles and Heather (Brandon) Williams of Colorado; five great -grandchildren; and beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Mark and Bradley Farrar; and one brother, Michael "Micky" Rooney.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, with Father Rick Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Stroderville Cemetery near Whitewater.

Memorial donations may be given to Saint Francis Hospice or Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
