EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral for Patricia Carol Barker of East Prairie will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Fred Girdwood will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.

Barker, 61, died Monday, Dec. 28, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born July 17, 1937, in Arbor, daughter of Hobert and Oleta Irwin Kight. She and Kelly Barker were married Dec. 22, 1969.

Barker lived in Mississippi County 29 years. She was formerly a secretary at Weaver-Heath Clinic in East Prairie, and was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Melinda Gee of New Madrid; two brothers, Hobert Kight of Chaffee, Joe Kight of Jackson; a sister, Marilyn Steck of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
