YOUNGTOWN, Ariz. -- Charlotte Pat Perry met her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, while residing at Life Stream Skilled Nursing Facility in Youngtown.
She was born Nov. 17, 1928, to Amos Edward and Bertha Ervin Hargis in Cape Girardeau.
She attended Juden School, College High School and Southeast Missouri State University.
She was married to William Pete Perry and Jesse Bud Stroder, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ama Young; a son, Richard Stroder; and a nephew, Kenneth Knight Hargis.
Pat was the administrator at the Cape Girardeau Osteopathic and Chaffee General hospitals and was a graduate of the College of Administrators.
She was a member of the Cape Choraliers for several years and was an active member of the Red Star Baptist Church.
She retired from McDonald Douglas/Boeing Corp. in Mesa, Arizona.
She is survived by her brother, Ervin Bart (Roslyn) Hargis of Phoenix; sons, Scott Stroder of Woodriver, Illinois, John (Peg) Altemeuller of Festus, Missouri, and Dale Perry of Panama City, Florida; daughter, Marcia (Bill) Hane of Incline Village, Nevada; sister-in-law, Betty Heuring in Acworth, Georgia; grandchildren, Patti (Trent) August, Leah Ann (Baldemar) Garza, Traci (Joe) Devine, Richard Stroder and Ronnie Shaw; nine great-grandchildren, Nick August, Robyn Conyers, Samantha Cain, Adam Shaw, Mitchell August, Alexandra Watson, Colin Shaw, Brandon Carpenter and Isabella Devine; four great-great-grandchildren, Tristan Carpenter, Aubrey August, Amber Carpenter and Hannah Shaw; many, many steps, grand-steps and great-great-grand-steps; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be June 2 at 2 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
