Pansie Mehrle

Pansie D. Hunt Mehrle, 101, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born Nov. 4, 1907, at Parma, Mo., daughter of Albert S. and Laura L. Goodwin Hunt. She and John F. Mehrle Sr. were married Sept. 17, 1927, in Cape Girardeau. He died Dec. 8, 1972.

Mehrle was a member of First Baptist Church. She moved to Cape Girardeau at an early age and was educated in Cape Girardeau Public Schools.

Survivors include a son, John (Nina) Mehrle Jr. of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Randy (Donna) Mehrle of Jefferson City, Mo., Jennifer (Bart) Byrum of Jackson; four great-grandchildren, Andrew Mehrle of Jefferson City, and Landon, Trenton and Mason Byrum, all of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

A graveside service will be held today at Cape County Memorial Park, with the Rev. Mike Schupert officiating.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
