Pamela A. Cate, 57, of Scott City passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 17, 1956, in Whitewater, to the late Ruddle Otto and Mary Stevens Gloth. Pamela and Norman Cate were married Dec. 22, 1988. He preceded her in death Sept. 8, 2011.
She was a seamstress at Thorngate Ltd.
Survivors include a son, Shawn (Amanda) Hanshew of Chaffee, Mo.; a special niece whom she thought of as a daughter, Candy Collom of Chaffee; two sisters, Rose Lee (Bob) Kirn of New Hamburg, Mo., and Karen Sue Schmitt of Chaffee; three granddaughters, Abigail, Keylynn and Sylvia.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Gloth.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Burial will be at a later date.
