MARBLE HILL -- Palma L. Evans, 71, of Marble Hill, died Monday, Oct. 21, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 27, 1920, at Arbor, daughter of Charles and Gertrude Morris McClain. She and Loftis Evans were marmried Dec. 14, 1936. He died Aug. 11, 1988.
Evans owned and operated Pine Hill Kennels several years. She was a member of American Kennel Club and Marble Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, James and Floyd Evans of Cape Girardeau; five daughters, Evon Schwettman of Cape Girardeau, Shirley Slinkard of Whitewater, Judith Cutright and Melissa Huey of Marble Hill, Barbara Fiehler of Loveland, Ohio; two brothers, Arvie McClain of Grafton, Ill., Jerry McClain of state of California; two sisters, Annabelle Baker of Greenville, Joyce Miller of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, brother, sister and grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Liley Funeral Chapel here. Keith McNeely will officiate, with burial in New Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
