Owen Innis, 75, of Scott City died Monday, May 23, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 14, 1940, in Cape Girardeau to William M. and Ethel M. Ballard Innis. He married Wanda Sue Worth on April 15, 1962.
He retired after 33 years with the Laborers Local 1104 in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of Elks Lodge 639 of Cape Girardeau and Eagles Aerie 3319 of Sikeston, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Innis; a son, Greg (Suzanne) Innis of Millington, Tennessee; three daughters, Cindy (Jim) Bruce of Bullhead City, Arizona, Deborah (Robert) Haynes of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Cheryl Ann (Michael) Moore of Barnhart, Missouri; a brother, David (Patricia) Innis of Arnold, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Owen; a daughter, Teresa Susan Innis; and two grandsons, Nicholas Innis and Scott Ford.
The most important loves of life were his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved to hunt and fish and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel. Burial will be at a later date in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
