ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Owen H. Craig of Anna will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. The Rev. Curtis Craig will officiate. Burial will be in Busby Chapel Cemetery at Goreville, with graveside rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
Craig, 77, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, at Union County Hospital.
He was born July 29, 1921, at Goreville, son of Leander D. and Edith Sullivan Craig. He and Elta Mangrum were married Aug. 14, 1945, in Washington, D.C. She died May 11, 1995.
Craig was food supervisor 31 years at Choate Mental Health and Development Center. He also had owned and operated Craig Lawn Mower Shop.
He was a member of Goreville Masonic Lodge, and life member of VFW Post 3455. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Connie Joiner of Anna; a son, Gary Craig of Anna; a sister, Cecile Morgan of Goreville; three brothers, Abe Craig of Anna, Omer and Lloyd Craig of Goreville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, and two brothers.
