Ovella Maxine Wilson, 67, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, June 16, 1998, at St. Louis University Hospital.
She was born Nov. 6, 1930, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Harry and Mayme Niswonger Ikerman. She and W.A. Wilson were married Nov. 8, 1953, in Cape Girardeau.
Wilson was a service representative with Southwestern Bell 29 years, retiring in 1990. She was a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau, member of First Baptist Church and Southwestern Bell Telephone Pioneers.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Steven Wilson of Los Angeles, Calif., Jeff Wilson of Altus, Okla., Robert and James Wilson of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Pam Wilson of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Marylyn Slinkard of Morrisonville, N.C., Eva Kelly and Imogene Varnum of Cape Girardeau; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Revs. Ken Moxey and S.S. Borum officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
