JACKSON -- Otto A. Kamp, 83, died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at the Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 24, 1914, at Tilsit, son of William and Bertha Pensel Kamp. He married Virgia Statler on Oct. 29, 1938, at St. Louis. She died May 1, 1993.
He was employed by International Shoe a number of years and later worked as a supply clerk at John J. Pershing V.A. Hospital in Poplar Bluff until he retired and entered the veterans home in 1993.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Poplar Bluff and was a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by a brother, Alvin Kamp of Jackson. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
McCombs Funeral Home of Jackson is handling all arrangements. No visitation will be held. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, with the Rev. Daniel Hale officiating.
