Otis Harold Watson, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, July 1, 2016, at Heartland Care and Rehab.
He was born Jan. 6, 1931, in St. Louis to the late Ancell and Mildred Aaron Watson. He and Mildred Ilene Norris were married Thursday, March 7, 1963. She preceded him in death Feb. 3, 2004.
Otis graduated from Central High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, which included three tours in Germany, one year in Korea and helped retrain German officers. After he was discharged, he worked as a bus driver for the city of Cape Girardeau, was a warehouse manager at Sears, Ralph Edwards clothing and retired from the city of Cape Girardeau's sewer department in 1994.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Della (Gary) Lukow of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren Brandy N. Trickey and John B. Lukow; and great-grandchildren Greta Shipman, Gracen Trickey and Gage Shipman.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 10:a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bryan Schaefer officiating. Burial with full military rites will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Southeast Hospice.
