Otis M. Dean, Jr., 69, of Cape Girardeau, died at his home Wednesday, Nov. 20, 1991.
He was born Dec. 20, 1921 in St. Louis, the son of Otis M. Dean, Sr. and Rosa Walters.
On May 25, 1946 he married LaVerne Torbitzky in St. Louis, who survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Don Dean of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Richard Dean of Bonne Terre, and Roy Dean of Arnold; two half-brothers, Fred Buehre of Arnold, and Robert Buehre of Lemay; three sisters, Mildred Farmer of Lemay, Lorrine Brogdon of Arnold, and Loretta Maxon, from the state of Florida; and two grandchildren.
Dean was park superintendent of the Sylvan Springs Park in St. Louis County for 20 years. He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Louis
Military funeral services were conducted Friday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
