DEXTER -- Funeral for Otis Christian of Dexter will be held at 2 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Dale Grissom and Don Bahr will officiate. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery.
Christian, 93, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 2, 1906, near Leora, son of John A. and Annie Varble Christian. He and Ella Mae Temples were married June 24, 1939, at Charleston.
Christian retired from farming in 1980. He was a member of Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Ota Roberts of Dexter; six sons, Truman, Tim and Leotis Christian, all of Dexter, Paul Christian of University City, Raymond Christian of Affton, Jim Christian of Arnold; a sister, Lottie Lacy of Flint, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
