JACKSON -- Oscar W. Hahs, 90, died Sunday Dec. 25, 1994 at the Jackson Manor Nursing Home, where he had lived since October of 1972.
He was born May 8, 1904 at Daisy, the son of Pete K. Hahs and Cora Linebarger.
In his early years, he taught school at Daisy, Critesville, and the Boxdorfer School in Perry County. He bought timber for the former Raines Stave Mill in Jackson, and farmed in Daisy. He also worked for the ASCS office in Jackson for a number of years, and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include: three daughters, Margie Roberts of Oak Ridge, Debbie Hahs of Springfield, and Tami Hahs of the state of Arizona; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at McComb's Funeral Home in Jackson. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Fred Rister officiating at the New Salem Cemetery at Daisy.
