Joint funeral service for Oscar "Jay" Crites, 69, and his wife, Lora Jean Crites, 70, of St. Louis, formerly of Cape Girardeau, will be held at 1 p.m. today at Kutis Funeral Chapel in St. Louis. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
The couple was killed in a traffic accident Thursday, July 23, 1992, in Tennessee.
They are survived by four sons, Kenneth, Ronald, William and Keith Crites, all of St. Louis; two daughters, Pat House and Kathy Johnston of St. Louis; 12 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Crites is also survived by three brothers, Owen Crites of Cape Girardeau, Weldon Crites of Memphis, Tenn., Frank Crites of Carbondale, Ill.; three sisters, Pat Niswonger and Dot Giddings of Cape Girardeau, and Marie Whitten of Denver, Colo.
Mrs. Crites is also survived by two brothers, Robert and Allen Johnson.
Crites was a retired truck driver, and Mrs. Crites was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co.
