ANNA, Ill. -- Orville J. "Bud" Creacy, 71, of Anna and formerly of Pulaski died Monday, April 27, 1992, at the Union County Hospital in Anna.

He was born Aug. 25, 1920, in Oklahoma, the son of Orville Franklin and May Creacy. He was married to the former Helen Parmerley Laws, who survives of the home.

He was a retired engineer for the Wisconsin Barge Line and a veteran of World War II.

Other survivors include four sons, Tommy and Jimmy Creacy, both of Great Bend, Kan., Jerry Creacy of Baton Rouge, La. and Meryle Creacy of Maui, Hawaii; a daughter Diana Stanford of Maui; four step-sons, Melvin and Carl Laws, both of Amston, Conn., John Laws of Bossier City, La., and Patrick Laws of Pulaski; seven step-daughters, Tobie Hutton of O'Fallon, Ill., Marilyn Kerr of Pulaski, Darlene Henard of Dongola, Charlene Halphen of Houston, Texas, Bonnie Foster of Vienna, Patti Hodges of Cairo, and Linda Jones of Bossier City; two brothers, Danny Creacy of Tampa, Fla. and Wayne Creacy of Great Bend; a sister, Wanda Council of Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of step-grandchildren and step, great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a step-son.

Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Pulaski, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Al Slayter will officiate, and burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge. Jones Funeral Home of Villa Ridge is in charge of the arrangements.
