SIKESTON -- Orval Ford, 84, Sikeston Route 3, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born April 8, 1908, in Harrisburg, Ill., son of Gilbert and Maude Church Ford. He first married Ethel Jane Hazel Dec. 21, 1929. She died Dec. 18, 1981. He later married Lucille James Smith Jan. 1, 1983, in Sikeston.
Ford was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Orval Ford of Puxico; a daughter, Connie McAdoo of Merrillville, Ind.; two stepsons, Chester Smith of East Prairie, Jim Smith of Blodgett; a stepdaughter, Janet Chandler of Matthews; a brother, Cecil Ford of Benton; two sisters, Avis Lane of Charleston, Helen Head of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and a great-stepgrandson.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dewayne Coleman will officiate, with burial in Sikeston City Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
