POPLAR BLUFF -- Orneal Robert Hudson, 79, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, Dec. 28, 1997, at Lucy Lee Healthcare System.
He was born May 19, 1918, in Cape Girardeau. He and Zora Mae Hawthorne were married in 1939. She died in 1978.
Hudson was a 1936 graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau. He lived in Scott City for a time, where he was a longtime member of First Baptist Church.
Before moving to Poplar Bluff he was employed many years at B&H Co. in Cape Girardeau. He opened the B&H Auto Supply Store in Poplar Bluff, later retiring as manager.
Survivors include two daughters, Lois Anthony and Mary Hudson of Poplar Bluff; a son, Robert Hudson of Wisconsin; a brother, Joe Hudson of Midwest City, Okla.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Cotrell Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff after 7 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
