CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Graveside service for Orlon G. Walker of Cape Girardeau will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, Tenn. The Rev. Phil Clements will officiate.
Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements. There is no visitation or service here.
Walker, 95 years old, died Tuesday, March 26, 1991, at Cape LaCroix Nursing Home.
He was born Feb. 1, 1896, in Marion, Ky., son of Mr. and Mrs. John Walker. He and the former Mary Louise Hackett were married in 1919.
Walker was president of Planters Mutual Hail Insurance Co. more than 20 years, retiring in 1970. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, and served in the U.S. Army during World War I.
Survivors include a son, Glenn Walker of Germantown, Tenn.; three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers and two sisters.
